Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 29, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how KorOps Inc. (“KorOps”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with DemoRoom, our browser-based screen sharing and online meeting service (the “Service”). KorOps Inc., a Delaware corporation, is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create a DemoRoom account, we collect your name, email address, a hashed copy of your password, and any profile details you choose to provide.

Meeting information

When you host or join a meeting, we collect the meeting’s identifier, the display names of participants, join and leave timestamps, your IP address, and basic browser and device information (such as user agent and approximate region). We use this to operate the meeting, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate usage statistics.

Real-time audio, video, and screen-share streams

Audio, video, and screen-share streams are transmitted in real time through our media infrastructure provider (LiveKit). DemoRoom does not record meetings by default, and we do not retain these streams on our servers beyond the time required to deliver them between participants.

Marketing-site analytics

Our marketing site uses Ahrefs Web Analytics to understand aggregate visitor behavior (pages viewed, referrers, approximate region). Ahrefs Web Analytics is a cookieless analytics product. These analytics are not loaded inside the authenticated product (the meeting rooms, dashboard, or configuration screens).

Support and communications

If you contact us by email or fill out a form, we receive the contents of your message and any contact details you provide so we can respond.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, and improve the Service;
  • authenticate users and secure accounts;
  • communicate with you about the Service, including transactional and security messages;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

3. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide the Service you have requested (e.g., hosting your meetings, managing your account).
  • Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent abuse, and understand how it is used, balanced against your rights and expectations.
  • Consent — for any optional processing that requires it, such as certain marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and lawful requests from authorities.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Service uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. We use a strictly-necessary authentication cookie (named token) to keep you signed in. Our marketing site uses Ahrefs Web Analytics for aggregate visitor analytics. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling the authentication cookie will prevent you from signing in.

5. Third-Party Processors

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate DemoRoom, under contracts that require them to protect it:

  • LiveKit — real-time audio, video, and screen-share media infrastructure.
  • Ahrefs Web Analytics — aggregate marketing-site analytics.
  • Hosting and CDN providers — to host the Service and deliver static assets.
  • Email and customer-support providers — to send transactional email and respond to support requests.

6. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described in this policy: with the processors listed above; with meeting participants you invite (e.g., your display name is visible to other participants in a meeting); when required by law or valid legal process; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Account information is retained for the life of your account and for a reasonable period afterward (typically 30 days after deletion) to handle account-recovery and dispute resolution. Meeting metadata (such as meeting identifiers and join timestamps) is retained for up to 90 days for security and operational purposes. Real-time audio, video, and screen-share streams are not retained on our servers beyond what is necessary to deliver them between participants.

8. International Transfers

KorOps Inc. is based in the United States, and we and our processors may transfer and process personal information in the United States and other countries that may have data-protection laws different from those of your country. Where we transfer personal data out of the EEA or the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to our processing, and the right to data portability. If you are in California, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know what we collect, to delete, to correct, to opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not engage in either), and to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@korops.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored data, and scoped access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if you believe your account or any DemoRoom data has been compromised, please contact us at info@korops.com.

11. Children’s Privacy

DemoRoom is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via the Service or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or to exercise any of the rights described above, contact us at info@korops.com, or write to KorOps Inc., Delaware, USA.
